Dr Nikhil did his medical school from Mumbai and then went to PGIMER, Chandigarh to complete his MD in medicine and DM in Gastroenterology. In past 20 years, he has excelled in the field of Gastroenterology and in the subspecialty of Pancreatology. His interest in pancreas led him to the USA where he perceived advanced training in Pancreratology at the prestigious Mayo Clinic. He is one of the few who has been selected by the American College of Gastroenterology for International Training Award. Just to tell you for this award only one Gastroenterologist outside North America is selected per year and till now only three Indians have been bestowed with this award since its inception.
